TORTOISE V HARE ON CBEEBIES

Anna Maxwell Martin Reads Tortoise V Hare The Rematch on CBeebies Bedtime Story. One revelation that came from watching this and Ricky Hatton reading it on Bookaboo, is the Brits pronounce 'Tortoise' exactly how it's spelt. In Australia we pronounce it 'Tort-tuss', or even 'Toorduss', depending where you're from.

    Only the Northern Brits go for the Tor-toys.

    Us Southerners also go Tor - tuss.
